Note

This encaustic mini course is being created to align with Lora Murphy’s Painting with Fire (PWF) Master Class. I am one of the 26 instructors who will bring you a new video every week from April 30, 2021 – April 30, 2022. PWF is also LIFETIME ACCESS. This PWF Master Class begins April 30th, 2021.

This mini-course will prepare you so you will be ready! However, you do not need to be part of the PWF Master Class to enjoy this mini-course!.

I have loved encaustic painting the moment I tried it back in 2008. Long before I learned how to paint with cwm/oils, I learned encaustic painting and encaustic monotype. Enroll in this mini course and learn the BASICS of encaustic painting! See you there starting March 1, 2021!

Testimonials

"Wow...great job, Pam! This mini-course is more comprehensive than I ever imagined. You’ve hit all the notes and then some. I’ve been working with encaustic for about 4 years and going through it was a great review. I also really enjoyed the mark making episode after having taken your PDPC class. So, thanks! Looking forward to the Master Class and whatever else you have up your sleeve."

Lin Holzinger

"This workshop is Better than excellent!!!!!!!! All the information is very well presented. It is a wonderful introduction for beginners and a great review for experienced painters. Pam puts so much time and effort into sharing her work and process. Thanks so much for sharing all your free videos on YouTube. This would be a great addition to any encaustic course!"

Janet F

"It was Wonderful! You are very thorough and detailed in all of your explanations. I love how you are willing to show all the materials used up close. You give such specific and clear explanation on each and every step of the Encaustic process. Nothing is over looked and taken for granted. It is very impressive! Bravo and Great job! I can't wait for more."

Claudia

"Pam, Hi , As always I enjoy taking your courses. I got so much out of this Encaustic mini-course! I had taken a quick course in the 90's and actually worked some in Encaustics for a while. However I didn't continue as there were too many unknowns and as a Printmaker I went in that direction instead , never knew a lot of what you shared in the course. I will be taking the Painting With Fire year long course also and now have my studio all set up and I'm ready to revisit this wonderful medium. Again, Thanks so much!"

Marti Schmidt

"I've worked with encaustic for many years. But I wanted to take this class from Pam because I know there is always something new to add to my art practice. And I wasn't disappointed."
