Acrylic/Mixed Media; 18x22; These are two paintings I have recently completed for a request for a gallery submission. Acrylic painting allows me the freedom to work spontaneously and quickly so that I don’t lose my mojo while working out the kinks of a painting. I tend to gravitate towards the color blue as I am influenced by the surroundings of our beautiful Georgian Bay waters. The vertical structured lines interspersed with varied translucent shapes/lines allows the eye to move in to the painting, not just around the painting. I’ve named the two paintings in my Time to Relax series - My Five OClock Beer and I’ll Have Another One. Cheers Susan
